Meet The Owner - Registered Nurse &
Licensed Massage Therapist
Kyanni Fleming MS, MBA, BSN, RN, LMT, CMLDT
I have always aspired to have a fulfilling and purposeful life that consists of using my talents to bring meaning, joy and comfort to others. I have been a practicing registered Nurse for over 20 years specializing in areas such as neurotrauma and Labor and Delivery. As a nurse interacting with all types of patients across the lifespan, I saw the need to help people connect with their self and their bodies in a way to promote optimal wellness through healing and relaxation, movement and mobility, restoration and recovery. As a practicing licensed massage therapist for over 13 years, I use integrative massage and bodywork modalities to help people live better within their bodies. I want people to better appreciate every body part, every muscle fiber, every strand of connective tissue and fascia, and every joint, tendon and ligament that supports their daily functioning. The Kneading Well, LLC came to fruition in 2020 as a result of my journey and commitment to helping others discover optimal function, health and wellness through massage therapy.and bodywork.
Outside of my careers in nursing and massage therapy, I am a mother of three, and DJ's GiGi who enjoys challenging her fitness with cycling, running, CrossFit and weight lifting. I have completed several half-marathons, open water triathlons, century rides and cycling races. My combined medical and athletic backgrounds provide me with a skill set to address a variety of client's needs from sports performance to chronic medical conditions. Over the past 10 years, I have been developing my professional skills and building my foundation. I completed two Masters Degrees in Leadership and Management (2010) and Business Administration (2018). I am certified in Nurturing The Mother® Prenatal Massage, a certified Modern Cupping Therapy© Practitioner, a certified SportStretch® massage therapist and a Certified Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist Vodder method trained through Klose. I am a member of several organizations: Association. of Bodyworks and Massage Professionals (ABMP), American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), the Association of Women's Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated (AKA).
Meet Van -
Vantrice Carr MS, BSN, RN CMLDT
As I brought her warm soup, gave her back rubs, and prepared to inject her insulin at the age of 10, my maternal grandmother always told me that I was meant to take care of people. However, life took me on a wild adventure to get to the world of comfort, healing, and wellness. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Psychology from Goucher College in 2009. My career started after earning a Masters degree in Human Resources Development from Towson University in 2011. After working several years behind an administrative desk, viewing resumes and conducting interviews of healthcare workers, I was reminded that I have more to offer society. I decided to enroll in nursing school and while there, I became highly interested in post-operative aesthetic care, specifically body contouring, assisting patients to heal safely and to feel more confident than they ever had before surgery. I became a registered nurse after getting an associate’s degree in nursing from the Baltimore City Community College in 2019 and then a bachelors degree in nursing from Chamberlain University in 2021. I have furthered my career in post-operative care by becoming a certified manual lymph drainage therapist (Klose Trained). My growth will not stop there! Overall, I am committed to give my clients the best post-op results and healing experience possible so they can feel their best, physically and emotionally. I am excited for you to be...
