Meet The Owner
Kyanni Fleming BSN, MS, MBA, RN, C-EFM, LMT
I have always aspired to have a fulfilling and purposeful life that consists of using my talents to bring meaning, joy and comfort to others. I began my career as a biologist at NIH and soon realized I needed a deeper connection with people. In 2001, I graduated from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. While enjoying my nursing career, I discovered and witnessed how alternative and complementary modalities offered other ways of allowing the body to heal, mend and recover. I decided to attend massage therapy school at the Baltimore School of Massage and graduated in 2008. For about a year after graduation, I worked part-time at Massage Envy in Timonium, Maryland. This opportunity gave me valuable experience working with clients who had different needs. It also allowed me to expand my knowledge and practice in different types of massage. In 2010, I took a leap of faith as a sole proprietor and began my independent massage practice.
Outside of my careers in nursing and massage therapy, I am a mother of three and I am engaged to a great man. I am an avid cyclist, runner and CrossFitter. I have completed several half-marathons, open water triathlons, century rides and cycling races. My combined medical and athletic backgrounds provide me with a skill set to address a variety of client's needs from sports performance to chronic medical conditions. Over the past 10 years, I have been developing my professional skills and building my foundation. I completed two Masters Degrees in Leadership and Management (2010) and Business Administration (2018). I am a member of several organizations like the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), the Association of Women's Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. The Kneading Well, LLC came to fruition in 2020 as a result of my journey and commitment to helping others discover optimal function, health and wellness through massage therapy.
